Driving Through Utah

Our drive from Zion to Heber City, UT was miserable. You remember how I keep saying how HOT it is here right, 108-110. So we got on the road heading to our next destination, Mountain Valley RV Resort, and the generator wouldn’t stay on. It kept turning off. I searched online for what could be wrong and read that apparently because our generator is under the driver seat area (close to the engine) whenever it is really hot outside and you’re driving it cuts off because it’s too hot. So, we drove 6+ hours in over 100 degree weather with NO AIR CONDITIONING and the electrical outlets wouldn’t work either so we couldn’t use any fans...I was soaking wet by the time we made it!!!

We got about 15 minutes away from our destination and I remembered something...🤦🏻‍♀️ I said “Guy you are going to kill me!! I forgot that we don’t have anywhere to stay tonight. We were going to stay at a hotel somewhere close tonight.” 😬 He wasn’t bothered by it and just said “well, get online and find a place.” I ended up finding a really cool resort, Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa, just 15 miles away from us and around the corner from the RV park we were going to stay at. The drive from where we were and the resort was beautiful. Utah has had its places. The scenery has either been boring or really cool. This little 15 minute drive was the prettiest we had seen in Utah so far.

The houses architecture and designs were so unique and Guy & I both fell in love with the same house as we passed by. There was a huge lake we drove by Deer Creek Reservoir. One the left side of the road was the lake with people boating and on the right side of us was a creek with people tubing down the creek and fly fishing. The mountains in the background was just gorgeous. We were so jealous of them in the water at this point.

Midway, Utah is one of our favorite little towns to put on our map!
