First Day of School ONLINE LEARNING

We knew when we decided to do this cross country trip that no matter what the school decided we would start our kids with online learning so it wasn’t an issue for our trip. In the spring when we did online learning the kids were given their assignments on Monday and they had until Friday to get it all turned in. They could do the work on their own time and login with their class once a week...cool 👍🏻

WELLLLL.....that’s not how they are doing online learning. This is a disaster for our trip and plans we have made. They have to login when school normally starts and they have to sit on the computer, in class (live), the whole school day. WHAT!? 🤦🏻‍♀️

The first day of school we were ready. 8:00am came and it was time to login but the only problem was the districts website was overwhelmed and kept shutting down and we couldn’t get in until 9:15am. After that it ran pretty smooth. It was a long day because it was pouring outside ALL DAY!!! Guy and I had planned on sitting outside and enjoying the nice weather and get some work done. Instead all 4 of us were stuck inside trying to be quiet for each other.

Now what do we do when it’s a travel day or if we have some sightseeing to do? I guess it is time to head home. So sad 😞

Rule: don’t sit on your bed 😬 sorry we are limited on space
