GOLD MINING in Black Hills, SD

Today we went on a gold mine tour in Black Hills, SD. After that we went gold mining on a claim. We found about 6 SMALL pieces and the kids put them in their little bottles to save. It was a cool experience but not enough to retire. (I unfortunately did not take any pictures of the gold pieces 🤦🏻‍♀️)

We dug the dirt, carried it down to the creek, separated the big rocks and stuff from the dirt and put it through the sluce machine. The kids LOVED this. I think anything that Eli can make money in he’s good to go. He worked harder today then I’ve seen in a long time. And sweet Aliyah kept asking others if they needed help. She enjoyed the whole process.
