Heading to Dandridge, TN

Last night was so nice staying at Embassy Suites in Chattanoog, TN. Got a nice long shower, watched TV in bed and the kids had their own area. 🤗 Woke up and left the hotel and found a nice new laundromat that made my 7 loads of laundry only take 2 hours to do 🎉 Back on the road at 2:30 and on our way to Dandridge, TN. (AC still isn’t working in the front area but the mobile mechanic is coming today so add it to the list).

There is a place called Ruby Falls/Rock City in Chattanooga that we ran across and really wanted to go checkout but they were sold out on tickets for the day. This is a place to add to our list for next time. Looks amazing!

The drive is so pretty and lots of steep hills. The temperature dropped quite a bit and is windy and 70 degrees. We stopped twice to check on the car and make sure all is good with the straps holding it on the dolly.

We arrived at Anchor Down RV Resort at 5pm and it is so beautiful. Wow 🤩 our view is amazing. We didn’t get a site on the water or with the cool stone fire pits BUT our view is so beautiful. We get to look at the river and the Smokey Mountains. We went to get out to unload the car off the dolly and THE DAMN STRAP HAD SNAPPED AGAIN!!! This is so scary and I’m terrified this could happen while driving down the interstate 😱 We can’t figure out why it’s doing this. And...our back left tire pressure is low. Seriously, what the hell!!! Can’t we have 1 day where something doesn’t go wrong? When we got to our site the mobile mechanic was here and waiting for us. The AC apparently I kicked a wire loose so that was an easy fix and he taught Guy how to manually level the jacks. (He didn’t know what was wrong with them) 😭 but they worked and we are level!!!

There are hundreds of kids running around this place and I hope my kids meet some other kids to hangout with. They have so much to do here at the campground and we are so excited to check it all out tomorrow. Smokey Mountains hike is on our list for Wednesday and I’m so sad we are here at Dollywood and I don’t think we are going to go. With the coronavirus we are thinking to definitely avoid the amusement park and dinner shows. We drove on Dolly Parton Parkway today!! 🎉

Guy is in love with our view and this place and we were only here for an hour and he said he doesn’t want to leave 😂

Guy said he wanted to see places where the bank was called “the bank”, the bar was called “the bar”, “the grocery store” ....well here ya go “the barn”
