LABOR DAY WEEKEND-Virginia to North Carolina-OBX

We have been busy the past couple of days. We left Williamsburg, VA and were heading to the Outer Banks (Hatteras), NC....BUT I had to swing by Virginia Beach, VA to visit my favorite person!

My grandma lives in a retirement home and they have been placed on lockdown since March. Limited human interaction is not good for anyone and definitely isn’t good for the elderly. They only allowed me to visit her for 45 minutes, outside, 6 feet away and no hugging 😭. I know it’s for her own safety but what’s life without being around the ones you love? And does the virus take 45 minutes to contract? I think it’s ridiculous the rules they have placed on them and things need to change. It was nice to see her anyway, she looks good 😊

Then we left Virginia Beach, VA and headed to the Outer Banks. We are staying at Camp Hatteras RV Resort. We found out one of my brothers was going to be vacationing at the KOA right next door, so it was nice to be able to visit with him and his family for a day. They still live in Virginia Beach so we don’t see them often. Also, one of Guys childhood friends drove down with his boys and spent the day with us. It was an awesome beach/cookout day spent catching up with family and friends.

We stopped at a farmers market and got some fresh strawberries, apple pie and blueberries. We wanted strawberry pie but everyone was sold out.
