Mt. Rushmore KOA Campground Review

This campground is the second largest KOA in the U.S. and it is huge. It is managed nicely and the employees were friendly...except some old man named Richard that was grumpy and rude! Everyone else was awesome!
With the coronavirus going on they had some things closed and you had to get a 1 hour ticket for the pool. Besides this they still had a ton to do and the kids were able to run around and hangout and play. They even have a rodeo onsite (closed for coronavirus).
We were there during STURGIS BIKE WEEK so it was SLAMMED with bikers from all over. It was neat driving through these old looking towns that had hundreds or bikes lined up side by side all down the street.
They had a really nice check-in and store. One restaurant that had pizza, burgers, wings and ice cream was open. They have horse stables and offer trail rides and a covered wagon dinner that takes you to a cowboy show (we didn’t go this). They have putt putt, water slide, splash pad, bike rentals and three wheelers, family bikes for 4, trampoline pillow, wine bar, fudge shop, movie every night at pavilion, activities during the day for the kids, etc. Internet was absolutely awful here and really is frustrating to not be able to get it. They really do it right and it was very nice.
We stayed at site 380. Some of the spots were packed together but we had a nice space.

The town was so cute and had the old rustic charm
