We found an awesome campground and we lucked out with one of those sites people brag about and then everyone else writes it down hoping to get it 😊.

We had the last site on the end and it seemed as if the whole place was ours. It is on Hebgen Lake. They rent boats, paddle boards and kayaks. They also rent our boat slips in case you have your own boat. They don’t have a pool but everyone swims in the lake.

Weather was very predictable. Everyday the wind picked up around 1:00 and you need to put your awning in and put everything away. At 7:00pm the mosquitoes and bugs come out with a vengeance and you’re best to go inside until they go away around 9:00pm. We had summer during the day, 80’s, and winter at night, 39 degrees. It was cold 🥶 You are allowed to have campfires so that was nice!

It took us 20 minutes to drive to the Yellowstone West Entrance and to town.
